N1 soccer in South Orange County.
CFA Orange County fields boys and girls teams from U13 to U19 in the National 1 League (N1). Our N1 teams reflect our commitment to strong competition and player development, and give our players a platform to challenge themselves and grow on and off the field.
About the league.
The National 1 League (N1) is a new national league that starts in the 2026-27 season. US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer run it together, bringing US Club Soccer’s National Premier Leagues (NPL) and US Youth Soccer’s National League into one competition. N1 is integrated with the ECNL.
N1 is organized in conferences and districts. In Southern California, N1 play is operated by SOCAL Soccer League, which shares the West District 3 operator role with the Arizona Soccer Association.
N1 includes postseason events and showcases that give players exposure for college recruitment. The first season ends in summer 2027 at the ECNL Conference League Playoffs and Finals, and high-performing clubs are eligible for promotion to the ECNL Regional League.

Register for tryoutsWhat happened to NPL?
The National Premier Leagues (NPL) was US Club Soccer’s national youth league platform for 15 seasons. For 2026-27, the NPL and US Youth Soccer’s National League combined to create the National 1 League. The NPL’s final season ended with its 2026 championship event.
For U13-U19 teams, N1 is the national league that took NPL’s place. SOCAL Soccer League still runs a Pre-NPL division for U10-U12 in its Spring League. If your player was on an NPL team, contact us and our directors will tell you where that team plays this season.
